Arboretum

In Whereabouts on December 22, 2011 at 9:04 pm

SATURDAY UPDATE: we searched the Arboretum Thursday night and Friday day and night with no sightings.  She may be here hiding, but it seems likely also that she may be moving.  Please keep posting posters, and keep looking in neighboring areas: Interlaken, Montlake, Madison Park, Capitol Hill, Madrona, Central District, etc..  She is out there somewhere and we will find her.  Thank you for your help!

A loose cattle dog was spotted in the SEATTLE ARBORETUM today (Thursday, Dec. 22) between 3PM and 4PM.

Please, if you’re in the Arboretum area, look closely for her.  We think this is a very strong lead and believe she may be hiding in the Arboretum.  We walked the trails there and called for her this evening, but wonder if she might be laying low during dark and coming out during the day.

Please consider visiting the Arboretum if you have time, and look closely for her.  If you see her, please call us immediately if you can.  We’re worried about her without food as the weather gets colder.

A map of tips we’ve received regarding Bonnie’s whereabouts if available here: MAP.

BELOW IS A PICTURE OF THE TYPICAL AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG BUILD (this is not Bonnie, but her overall shape is very similar):

BELOW ARE PICTURES OF BONNIE: she has a slightly small build for a cattle dog and is about knee high.

  1. Hello my name is Shane I have a cattle dog also and have been following your progress I took a few passes through the arboretum but no luck. I’m dyeing to know if you have found her yet or what’s happening.
Best wishes for the new year

  2. Thanks, Shane. Lots of cattle dog owners have been calling and e-mailing, and many of them have been walking the Arboretum. Bonnie was raised with several other cattle dogs, so she may eventually get curious and come up to a familiar looking dog.

    Have a great New Years!
